Modern Slavery & Human Trafficking Statement
Introduction
At Elite Advanced Driver Training Ltd, we are committed to upholding the principles of equality and human rights in all aspects of our business operations. We recognise the grave issue of modern slavery and human trafficking and are dedicated to ensuring that our activities, as well as those of our supply chain, are free from such exploitation.
Our Policies and Contracts
We maintain a zero-tolerance stance towards modern slavery and human trafficking. Our Anti-Slavery and Human Trafficking Policy underscores our unwavering commitment to conducting business ethically and with integrity. It encourages all our employees to report any concerns regarding potential instances of modern slavery or human trafficking within our organisation or supply chain. Additionally, we have implemented policies prohibiting harassment, discrimination, and victimisation, providing multiple channels for employees to raise concerns.
Our employment contracts, both for permanent staff and temporary workers, adhere to relevant EU and UK laws to ensure that individuals receive fair treatment, including rights pertaining to hours, pay, and termination. We conduct thorough background checks on all candidates to verify their eligibility to work and to identify any potential risks related to modern slavery or human trafficking.
When providing temporary personnel to clients, we ensure that:
- Individuals have the legal right to work in the UK, verified by direct inspection of their passports.
- Temporary personnel receive their remuneration directly into their own bank accounts.
- Temporary personnel are free to terminate their assignments with reasonable notice.
Furthermore, our Employee Code of Conduct underscores our commitment to upholding human rights principles, including a prohibition on forced labour. We provide ongoing training to our employees to enhance awareness of the risks associated with modern slavery and human trafficking, empowering them to identify and address potential instances of exploitation.
Supplier Standards and Monitoring
We hold our suppliers, including recruitment agencies, to high ethical and legal standards, including compliance with the Modern Slavery Act 2015. Our suppliers undergo rigorous credit checks, and we expect them to maintain policies and practices that align with our commitment to combating modern slavery and human trafficking. Our supplier agreements include provisions requiring compliance with relevant laws and ethical standards. Should evidence of non-compliance arise, we will work with suppliers to remedy the situation; however, persistent failure to comply may result in termination of our business relationship.
Risk Assessment and Mitigation
We regularly assess and monitor potential risk areas within our UK supply chain to mitigate the risk of modern slavery and human trafficking. Our approach includes:
- Identifying and assessing potential risk areas.
- Implementing measures to mitigate the risk of exploitation.
- Monitoring the supply chain for potential indicators of modern slavery or human trafficking.
- Providing protection to whistle-blowers who report concerns about unethical practices.
Review and Compliance
This statement is made in accordance with the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and will be reviewed annually to ensure its continued effectiveness and compliance with legal requirements.
